Ok this is a great little device, and not too expensive either!
Its the latest gadget from Tefal, a 2 slice toaster is nothing that special I here you shout, but the TT550015 from Tefal also has the ability to cook an egg for you - and it doesnt matter how you like your egg as this Tefal toaster will either poach, fry or boil your egg for you. Now thats cool.
The Toast n Egg toaster allows you to toast 2 slices of bread (it has wide slots so it doesnt matter on the thickness of your bread, it even does Muffins or Baggels) and at the same time will either poach or fry a single egg or boil upto 4 eggs. On the controls for the toaster you simply select toast only, egg only or both toast n egg - its Easy
To boil an egg/s, you simply fill the measuring pot it comes with, to the desired amount of water (marked on the container are scales showing the number of eggs you are cooking together with wether you want the egg hard, medium or soft), pure the water into the egg compartment, pierce the top of your egg with the egg piercer on the bottom of the measuring pot (this stops the egg from exploding!) insert the egg into the boiled egg holder, pop the lid onto it and switch it on.
How The Tefal TT550015 Toast n Egg Cooks Your Egg
Basically the toaster cooks your eggs by steaming them. It boils the water you add and steams the eggs which are susppended in the holder above the water. It cooks until it boils dry and then has an auto shut off and hey presto your breakfast is done. You need to use the plastic measuring pot that comes with your Tefal Toaster as this has on it the precise amount of water you should use depending upon what you are cooking, it also houses the egg pricker which you need to use on boiled eggs.

am really impressed with this. It takes no time at all to make poached egg on toast. You can choose the softness or hardness of the egg by the measuring jug provided.
Bad Points? I too wish it did 2 poached eggs at once.
Very pleased with it and have recommended it to most of my friends.

From the mid-80's Transformers have been in everyones lives, we had the cartoon which introduced us to such names as Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee, Megatron and Starscream, Autobots and Decepticons.
